Last month I had a no good, very bad week. There was yelling and tantrums and impatience and exhaustion. It was no fun for anyone. This morning, for a variety of reasons, I felt that emerging again so I meditated, made porridge and a strong tea and then loaded the kids into the car and came here. And all is well. There is little that salt, sand, fresh air, movement and sunshine can't fix in this family.

Dried native flowers bring me so much happiness. Also, there are quite a few new blogs up on Black Tea, White Pages including a wrap up of our third @plasticfreejuly and our first few weeks at home with the divine miss T. Link is in my bio.

FB memories came through with the goods recently. That's me learning how to soar on a trapeze. A most excellent way to play. And also something I've noticed as I've gotten older/more tired/ more distracted - play isn't as instinctive and natural. Bring back the fun!

There are few things better than a market morning. Baby toes exhausted by listening to music in the sun while we devoured roesti, coffee and a chocolate covered doughnut. Normally we'd grab produce too, but instead got distracted by the company we were keeping. A much nicer way to fill the fridge than a fluoro lit, hectic supermarket. #justsaying

Focusing on simple this week, after an absolute shocker last week. (Never let anyone tell you babies are hard. Three year olds are HARD! and hilarious and fun and challenging and wonderful but hard). This week has looked like #zeroplansday every day and doing what feels good - a lot of parks, a lot of time outside - meditation and movement each day for me however that looks, dance offs and favourite foods and glasses of wine. Blooms from last weekend when I escaped to a beautiful bridal kitchen tea. 🌻
